A Day In Barcelona

A Day In Barcelona

Welcome to my very first post on my new blog!

Hello, it’s me.

Welcome to my very first post on my new blog! I had an amazing weekend with my brother and cousin. We went to Barcelona to take some photos and make the Saturday a very productive day.

After 40 minutes on the subway we finally arrived to Barceloneta Beach. It was mostly cloudy but the clouds were fading.
I love Barcelona. One of my favourite places of this beautiful, amazing city is the beach. I love the view of the sea on the horizon, the palm trees, the little breeze in January, the fresh air… It’s so enjoyable and relaxing.
One of the highlights of this day was when some people who were working there, asked us if we wanted to try a Segway, like a hoverboard, for free. I’ve never tried a Segway before so we decided to try it. I really thought it would be so difficult to go anywhere in a Segway but it was pretty easy to handle.

After that, we went to the lookout, next to the W Hotel. The view of the sea relaxes me so much. I love the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks.
We also took some Instax photos. In case you don’t know what that is, it’s an instant camera by Fujifilm. I will make a post about this in the future with some tips and tricks.

After a few hours walking through the streets of Barcelona, looking second hand clothing in cute little shops, we decided to make a stop to eat some food. After that, we went to Plaça Catalunya. Even though I’ve been living in Barcelona my whole life, it stills amazes me how beautiful this place is. Maybe it’s because of their amazing architecture and the big fountains of Plaça Catalunya.
One of the best things of Plaça Catalunya are their shopping centres. We went to Urban Outfitters and Fnac in ‘El Triangle’.
Urban Outfitters offers you good clothing, home decor, like candles, mugs, etc.; they also have phone cases, books, vinyls, instant cameras, like Instax or Polaroid, but some things are really expensive and you can find the same things but cheaper in other shops.

Fnac has a lot of technology products like cameras, laptops, accessories; and they also have books, CDs, vinyls, etc. One of my favourite things about Fnac is that they also have international magazines, which is amazing. They had the latest ELLE’s UK magazine with Kylie Jenner on the cover. I love the Kardashian-Jenner family so much.

After that, we went to Las Ramblas, one of the most popular places in Barcelona. They have a lot of different shops and you can find anything, like souvenirs, clothing, etc. They even have food markets, like Carrefour market or La Boqueria; and also food-stands, where they have amazing ice-creams, waffles and crêpes. If you are ever in Barcelona you have to try them out! You won’t regret it.
We went all the way down Las Ramblas and we arrived to Passeig de Colom and Bosch i Alsina’s pier, where we took amazing photos of the sunset.

After taking photos of the beautiful sunset we went to Maremagnum, another shopping centre. One of the best things of this shopping centre is that they are always open, even on Sundays and festive days!
We went to Starbucks to drink some coffee. ‘Cause it was pretty hot that day, I ordered an iced caramel macchiato, one of my favourite Starbucks drinks. The hot version of this beverage is also good.

After this day I checked my Health app on my iPhone and it said that I made 29.575 steps and 16,67 Km. That was absolutely insane! But it was SO worth it. I really loved all the photos I took on Saturday and I had the best time ever with my brother and cousin.

Until the next post,

Jeff. x
