Can you feel the Autumn vibes?
As some of you may know, I’ve started doing monthly playlists this year instead of doing seasonal playlists. If you want, you can check last month’s playlist at the end of this post.
I’ve been dying to talk to you guys about Younger Now, Miley Cyrus’ new album. I’ve talked about this album a couple of weeks ago, when it was released, on my Twitter (in case you’re not following me on Twitter yet, it’s @namelessjeff). I’m SO happy for Miley’s comeback and this album is just everything! My favourite track off of the album, a part from the singles and promotional songs (Malibu, Inspired, Week Without You and the self-titled track Younger Now), are I Would Die For You, She’s Not Him, Rainbowland (with Dolly Parton), Thinkin’ and Love Someone. It has a completely different vibe from her last album Bangerz and the album has been on repeat for a week straight when it was released and I’m not even kidding!
And let’s talk about Fergie’s comeback as well. She recently released Double Dutchess, an amazing album with a visual experience and wow. On my child and early-teen years, Black Eyed Peas was one of my favourite groups ever and I would jam to all of their songs all day long. I can’t believe we’ve waited 11 years for another album from Fergie but the wait was really worth it! My favourite tracks off of the album are A Little Work, Save It Til Morning and Love Is Pain.
As for my favourite songs of this month, I’ve been loving Again by Noah Cyrus with XXXtentacion, Good Old Days by Macklemore with Kesha, a beautiful song and lyrics; Young Dumb & Broke by Khalid, an artist I mentioned on my September 2017 Playlist post in my discover artist/songs and has been on repeat lately. I’ve also been loving White Mustang by Lana Del Rey, Light The Night Up by Tinashe, Underdog by Banks, Sweet Dreams by BØRNS and Pray by Sam Smith.
As for my new discover artists/songs, I’ve been listening to J Balvin and Willy William’s Mi Gente Remix with Beyoncé. I’ve actually never heard the full song before but since Beyoncé was on it, I gave it a listen and well, Beyoncé singing in spanish again, gives me life. If Beyoncé says she’s the queen of memes, she’s the queen of memes.
As I’ve said in previous posts, I’m always looking for new songs and artists to listen and discover, so leave me your suggestions in the comments below or tweet me. I’ll also be adding more songs to this playlist. Feel free to subscribe to the playlist so you won’t miss any update!
What’s your favourite song at the moment?
