The reason why I’m not making any New Year’s Resolutions this year.
At the beginning of this year, I wrote 2017 Wrapped, a post to see if I did stick to my resolutions/goals from 2017 or not. If you would like to know how my 2017 was, you can read the post first and then continue reading this post.
We’re in the third week of the year and, after thinking about it for a while, I decided that I’m not making any New Year’s resolutions this year. The reason? I’ve always struggled with New Year’s resolutions. For example, I either do them for a while and then completely forget about them or sometimes things just don’t go the way I wanted and it’s really frustrating. It also creates a lot of pressure on me. The alternative? Instead, I’m gonna focus more on myself, focus more on the present. I feel like we, as people, grow, change, evolve, or however you wanna call it, during the whole year. Looking back to my old self from two years ago, I can see I have changed a lot, in a good way, personal, mental and professionally speaking.
Are you making any New Year’s resolutions this year?
